Staying at Hotel Piccolo Borgo had its ups and downs. While I enjoyed the clean and comfortable rooms, I found the breakfast options lacking and the staff somewhat hit-or-miss. The complimentary shuttle service was a huge plus for getting around, but the isolated location made it challenging without a personal vehicle.

Service
5.0
The friendliness of some staff was apparent, but I experienced mixed service. While the receptionist was helpful during check-in, I found the restaurant service to be quite lackluster.
Location
5.0
The hotel is located too far from central attractions, making transportation essential. The shuttle service to the metro station was convenient, but walking from the nearest bus stop was less than ideal, especially at night.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options were limited and not very appetizing, with cold coffee and minimal choices. While the dinner menu had potential, the actual presentation left something to be desired.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel features a nice swimming pool and well-maintained outdoor areas, offering a relaxing atmosphere. The availability of free Wi-Fi was beneficial during my stay.

6.0/10

My experience at Hotel Piccolo Borgo was a mixed bag. The staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome. However, the dining experience left much to be desired, especially breakfast which was quite disappointing. While the shuttle service to key locations was convenient, the hotel definitely needs some maintenance and attention to detail.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean but lacked basic amenities like an electric kettle. It was a decent size, though a bit on the small side.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly overall, but some were unhelpful, particularly during dining hours. The reception staff seemed overwhelmed.
Location
5.0
While the hotel is quite beautiful and has a nice pool area, the location is isolated. It took about 45 minutes to get into the city center.
Dining
5.0
The quality of food varied, with dinner being decent but breakfast being a disaster. The buffet was poorly managed and food options were limited.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel's facilities include a lovely pool area, but it needed some maintenance and the transportation arrangements could be improved.

5.6/10

My stay at Hotel Piccolo Borgo had its moments, with some aspects that I appreciated, like the beautiful outdoor spaces and the complimentary shuttle service. However, I encountered significant issues including maintenance problems and uncooperative staff, which overshadowed the good experiences. Overall, it felt more like a mix of charm and disappointment.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and had a lovely outdoor area, yet I faced issues like a broken fridge and strange smells throughout my stay. It lacked some basic amenities like more than one glass for two people.
Service
5.0
While I appreciated the housekeeping staff, my interactions with others were often unfriendly, especially during breakfast when I felt I was being rushed.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location was relatively far from central Rome, requiring a shuttle to the nearby metro, which was convenient but could be limiting if you wanted to explore the area on foot.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent and provided light options, but it was the same each day, which got a bit monotonous and the staff took too long to restock items.
Facilities
5.0
The pool facilities were not available during my stay, and there was also a lack of nearby amenities. The overall upkeep of facilities left much to be desired.

My stay at Hotel Piccolo Borgo had its ups and downs. The outdoor spaces were beautiful and relaxing, but my room left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness. Dining was pleasant with great food, although some service aspects could use improvement.

Rooms
6.0
My room was a bit small and not as clean as I expected, with issues like stains and discomfort. The lack of a private patio was disappointing since I was placed next to the restaurant.
Service
7.0
The staff was courteous and ready to accommodate, though some interactions felt a bit less than friendly. A mixed experience overall in terms of service efficacy.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is convenient, about a 20-minute taxi ride from the Colosseum, and there’s a shuttle to the metro station, which was really helpful.
Dining
6.0
The restaurant served delicious food and a variety of breakfast options, though I had a disappointing breakfast experience one morning with limited selections and poor presentation.
Facilities
7.0
I enjoyed the beautiful pool area, but the requirement for swimming caps was a bit annoying. The gardens were well-maintained and added to the ambiance.

5.2/10

My stay at Hotel Piccolo Borgo was a mix of highs and lows. While the shuttle service to both the airport and the metro was incredibly convenient (definitely a plus for early morning flights!), I faced issues with cleanliness and service that sadly can't be overlooked. The outdoor areas and gardens were beautiful, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere, but the state of the breakfast offerings was disappointing (not much to eat, and the food wasn’t fresh!).

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and well-maintained, but it lacked some basic amenities like an electric kettle. I found it somewhat frustrating to have to ask for hot water each time. Aside from that, the rooms were clean overall.
Service
5.0
The staff seemed mixed; while some were friendly, others made me feel unwelcome during check-in and with requests like asking for hot water.
Location
5.0
The hotel is situated quite far from central Rome, but the proximity to the metro station helps balance this out. However, the area felt isolated at times, particularly walking back at night.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite a letdown. There wasn't enough variety, and when I finally got there, food was warm and unappetizing, which detracted from my experience. Plus, I found the coffee from the machine a bit poor.
Facilities
6.0
I appreciated the lovely outdoor spaces and the swimming pool, which looked inviting, although I didn't get to use it. The sauna and jacuzzi were priced steeply, which felt a bit off for the overall experience.
